How do I clean my windows after they are tinted?
We recommend a non-ammonia cleaner and a soft cloth, such as a terry cloth. A few drops of regular dish-washing soap in a regular spray bottle works best.
Can you have window tinting applied to your windows in wet or cold weather?
Yes! With the modern adhesive systems found on today's window tinting products, it is possible to have your car windows tinted even in cold weather. However, the curing time may be extended in colder environments. As a professional installer, we take the weather into consideration during installation, allowing more time to apply heat to the edges of the tint to activate the drying process.
What causes window tint to bubble?
Bubbles are usually a result of a low quality film being used. At World Class Tint & Accessories, we use high quality products. The high performance and metal window tint that we use provides up to 99% UV protection and has a high temperature adhesive system which, along with the metalizing technology, allows us to give you a lifetime guarantee against the bubbling of window tint.
How durable is tinting?
One question asked thousands of times is, "Will my kids and/or pets tear it up?" We are glad to report this is not a problem, any damage usually confined to smudges that just need to be cleaned. The hard scratch-resistant coating found on quality window tint products do an excellent job protecting window tint from everyday use as well as kids and pets. A word of caution is to remember window tinting is installed on the inside of the glass and is coated with a high quality scratch resistant layer for protection. However, the key word is "resistant". Take care when loading and unloading objects with sharp or hard edges, boxes, sporting equipment, etc. It is possible to tear even the best window tinting material with a sharp or hard object hitting against the tint. Glass without tinting, or with factory window tint, can be damaged in this fashion as well.
How do black dots and lines at the edge of a window on newer cars affect window tinting?
The black dots, or matrix patterns, as well as the lines at the top of some windows are made of a Teflon type of material that is applied in the factory. Purely cosmetic, they hide trim lines and edges on different styles of automobiles. Tint will not adhere to anything that is not glass. We use a certain process to minimize the appearance of the dot matrix however, we cannot guarantee that the window film will adhere as some dot matrices are more pronounced than others.
How will window-tinting affect my defroster performance?
We recommend that you do not use your defroster for a week after the film is applied. After the one week waiting period, your window defroster can be used and won't affect its performance.
After the window is tinted I see little tiny bubbles on the glass. Will they go away?
The answer is yes. These bubbles will dissipate during the drying process.
If I remove my window film for any reason will my defroster stay intact?
We do our very best to remove film as carefully as possible, primarily using a steaming method. In some cases, it may be necessary to scrape the window to remove the film which will not hurt the glass, when properly done, but the defroster is likely not to work properly or at all. In rare instances such as this, if the scraping method is necessary we notify the customer before proceeding with removing the film.
I just had my windows tinted and they are hazy. When will the haze go away?
Under normal drying conditions, such as hot summer days, it will take approximately one week as drying time depends on how much sun exposure the windows receive during the day. The more sun, the faster the drying.
are you mobile? will you come to me?
